Felmeddelande - Wildcard certifikat för POP och IMAP ger felmeddelande

När man använder Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 med ett wildcard certifikat, är det möjligt att får felmeddelande i Windows Event Viewer. Följande fel kan förekomma:

Description:
A certificate for the host name "*.domain.se" could not be found. SSL or TLS encryption cannot be made to the POP3 service.

A certificate for the hostname "*.domain.se" could not be found. SSL or TLS encryption cannot be made to the IMAP service.

Description:
The POP service failed to connect using SSL or TLS encryption. A valid certificate is not configured to respond to SSL/TLS connections. Check the configured hostname as well as which certificates are installed in the Personal Certificates store of the Computer.

Orsak

Problemet beror på att Exchange-servern kan inte hitta ett giltig certifikat när man försöker starta en TLS session.

Lösning

Detta problem kan åtgördas genom att installera Update Rollup 9 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 eller Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2

Efter installation av Update 9 eller SP2, kan det hända att POP eller IMAP inte fungera längre. För att lösa det, kan man använda följande kommandon:

set-POPsettings -X509CertificateName <FQDN för POP, t.ex: pop3.domain.se>

set-IMAPsettings -X509CertificateName<FQDN för IMAP, t.ex: imap.domain.se>
